Victory Christian Fellowship – Lynden, WA

LEAD PASTOR - ADAM DOW

Pastor Adam Dow is Victory’s Lead Pastor and Pastor of Families. Adam and Danielle have been married for 18 years and have 4 kids. Adam often expresses how marriage and parenting have been the 2 most refining and revealing relationships for him. “With marriage, it’s having a safe place to not be perfect but feel completely safe and loved. With parenting, it’s the honor of shaping his beautiful kids. And with both, it’s having the safety of the gospel to grow when I fail.”

Growing up in the Northwest, Adam feels his family of origin is one of the biggest blessings given by God and a huge influencer in how God showed himself and gave Adam a vision of the Kingdom of God.  Adam says, “I want to raise the family I lead, surrounded by Godly influences, with worship and proclamation of the gospel being a normal thing. I don’t think it is possible to fulfill the one another commands of scripture apart from our community. Family ministry to me is all encompassing in that sense. We all have a role to play. If you are in Christ, you are a member of the family. And, it’s the family’s job to invite others in.”

Both Adam and Danielle feel called to do marriage and family well, to use those areas to bless others, and to serve the local church and prepare her for Jesus’ return.

Adam has a Masters Degree in Christian Studies from Kairos University and was ordained in 2022.

WORSHIP DIRECTOR - LYNDA SCHLOMER

Lynda has a passion to equip Victory to worship God wholeheartedly. She has a deep desire to connect believers to God (upwards) and to one another (outwards) in deep and meaningful interactions. SO much can happen in 30 minutes of prayer and worship!!! She hopes to empower believers of all ages to discover their God-given gifts (inwards) and to share their strengths and talents with their local community as an offering of worship to God (Romans 12:1-2).

With a team of passionate and gifted worship leaders, singing at VCF is an eclectic, organic, and grassroots experience. We come together as a family and enjoy hearing from each person. We encourage all generations at Victory to share their musical talents with each other.

When Lynda is not worship leading and coordinating, you can find her with her adventurous husband, Jeremiah, teaching @ Oaks and CC with her three children and home-making on their new farmstead with worship music as the soundtrack of her life 😉

MINISTRY COORDINATOR - OLIVIA CAMPING

Olivia enjoys the opportunity to serve the Victory community by connecting people with the resources they need to serve one another and grow as a body.

We call her the “Quarterback.” Need something or somebody to help you connect? She can help you plug into the many ways to serve and feel part of fellowship.  She also serves as support to the pastors and leadership.  Olivia is married to Luke and they have two boys. She’s a homeschool teacher and assists at Oaks.

CHILDRENS DIRECTOR - DANIELLE DOW

VCF Kids Mission Statement: To know God, grow His Word and truth in our hearts that we might live as set apart children of God.

Ephesians 1:15-18
[15] For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, [16] I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, [17] that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, [18] having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints…

Our deep hope is to encourage kids, youth and families to fall in love with Jesus, take delight in His Word regularly, participate faithfully in His Body (the Church) and be aware of His presence each and every day.

On Sunday’s we engage in scripture through reading, questions, creative expression and activity. We value family worship and quarterly hold family style worship services. We encourage kids and youth to develop their gifts and calling by participating in and serving in VCF Kids or others ministries.

I’m personally passionate about this ministry because I believe God loves kids & is ready and willing to know have a relationship with them! God got a hold of my heart at a very young age and was my best friend! I want that for all my “kid” friends at VCF too!
